God's Blessing and Glory Be To GOD for having you write such a spritual, uplifting and caring book for all of us who have been there in one way or another. Lisa I just came across your post on the Black Living web site announcing your new book "Ladies in Waiting" and I must say I just finished the book last month and it was truly a book that reflects the lives of a lot of Africian American women in one way or another. I could truly relate. Some wonder why the lines of prisons are so long and why many women put up with the drama. I guess that's a question that'll have to be answered by each person because everybodies story may be the same, but down deep they are so different. But with sooo many black men in jail and so many women left behind... "waiting" on hope alone the saga continues... Thank you for giving some insight and level of respectability to those of us who have been and are currently "Ladies in Waiting"... (I'm one of those "different" women... a professional with no run in's with the law) my story has turned out well so far, but I will never forget those visits... which I truly didn't understand until thrust into the fire. Keep up the good work... jacque oakland, ca I,m writing you to let you know that I really enjoyed the novel of LADIES IN WAITING.It really touched home for me, being from chicago and growing up in the HENERY HONER PROJECT,S I have expeienced on first hand whither it was my own,my friends or even one of my family members. Jamie Newark, De I just had to write a quick note of "thanks"! Usually in my free time I'm reading my bible or an inspirational book, but I was in the store a few days ago and was having one of those "Christian Single's" monthly moments and saw Island Interlude and picked it up. Well, once I got home and started reading, I couldn't put it down. I even took a half day off work just to finish the book. It was great. I would like to know if you are planning to have a Part II to it to let us know what happened with the characters you talked about. I bought the book for one reason but totally gained so much more than I set out for. This was the first time I believe I've ever read a novel that displayed black men in such a positive way. It made me have a different perspective for our black men. The characters seem so real to me. I also enjoyed reading it because it didn't contain the cursing that I've found in other authors that kept me from reading novels. I really appreciate you. Once I finished this book, I ran to the store to see whatelse you had on the shelf, well the only other one I found was Desperate Deceptions and was it ever so great. I ran out to 3 stores today and could not find another book of yours. I'm so disappointed tonight that I don't have another one of your books to read, but hope to go to a few other stores tomorrow to get your other books to have on hand when I finish one then I can start on the next one. (I need to study the scriptures tonight anyway!) It will take too long to receive the books if I ordered them so I would rather find a bookstore that has them. I'm not sure what your illness has been but I pray that God continues to bless your health in order to continue to write because He sure has blessed you with the talent of writing. I pray God's blessings on you and your family. Janie Dallas, TX Thank you for writing such a wonderful romance novel. It was very wonderful read. I plan to purchase another one of your novels. It would be nice to have a man tell me that I bring thunder to his heart when we're together and rain in his eyes when we're apart. I had fun reading this book and I am looking forward to your next novel. Keep writing those beautiful novels. Love from your #1 reader. Drusilla Smith Linda, I really enjoy your books, keep them coming. I like how you bring charactors from other books into current books. Are we ever going to know when Hillary Houston & Brandon Blair get married? I really enjoyed Souful serenade. Archie Hughes Girl friend I wanted to let you know that I read your new novel, Island Interlude. This novel was hot from beginning to end. I read it in one day because I couldn't put it down although I had to take short breaks from the reading because of the sizziling episodes. Girl friend you are good I mean really good. I'm sorry I missed your call when you were in Florida and hopefully one day I'll actually get to meet you and shake your hand because you are truly gifted. Now when I see a book with your name on it, I don't read the back I just pick it up and place it in my shopping cart because I know what I'm getting. May God bless you and your family and continue writing these beautiful romances. PS: I wish I could meet a man like Craig Caldwell!
